However, the potential impact of alcohol on individuals with ASD warrants careful consideration due to co-occurring conditions. Many individuals on the spectrum experience anxiety, depression, or sleep disorders, for which they may be prescribed medications. Alcohol can interact negatively with these medications, potentially exacerbating side effects or reducing their efficacy.
